In approximately six weeks time,Liga Alumni Malaysia will raise its curtains for season 2008-2009.The Quadcolors performance last season was reasonably commendable,making its debut in the top notch for the first time ever since 2002.Its pioneer entree in the first division saw the Quadcolors ending up in the fourth spot in the league behind STAROBA,VIOBA and SJAA being the alumni outfits behind Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman,Victoria Institution and St.Johns Institution respectively. Me, Ikmal and Megat Zainuri drove up last sunday (4th May) to visit Ali (Frank) Elias in Kangar Hospital.

Actually, it was Ikmal's idea; since he has in meeting in Penang that sunday; it's a good idea to continue to Perlis after the meeting. I did try to rope in a few others but they were not available due to one reason or another.

The Cagers won their 6th consecutive PHT Northern Zone Championships in SMS Sultan Azlan Shah (SERATAS) Taiping convincingly. This year Quest-4-Glory (Q4G) decided to field a team with 8 juniors in preparation for the next year’s tournament. They did well despite the games were played with a 7 minutes non stop every quarter (a total of 28 minutes per game). So it was really a short game, not more than 5 minutes of actual playing time.

The Cagers are the 2008 MSSPk KK District runners up. They lost to SM Shing Chung Sg. Siput,65 - 47. Shing Chung has 1 upper six former and 4 last year's players. The Cagers lost to a better team in terms of experience and exposure. However, they beat SM Tsung Wah 61 - 52, and SM Tsung Wah Private about 16 pts.

After my posting Texted the Business Owner, I visited the stall again last Sunday (17 February 2008). This time the workers at the stall are using forks to place the kuihs in the plastic bags. Hopefully, the process does not add anymore germ to my keria.

I was at the market Sunday before last and stopped by the "kuih" stall. The owner had instructed the workers to use the thin clear plastic glove to handle the kuih so that they are not contaminated. I like that attitude, because that's the proper way to handle food. (1) We can never be to sure that you are even half as hygienic as us; and (2) food would last longer.
