Muslims should be aware that under GWOT, Islam, its "violent" form, is now under direct attack from many western, prestigious/credible Think Tanks. They have made it very clear based on the numerous reports they have published (here is one from RAND Org:http://www.rand.org/pubs/monographs/2008/RAND_MG595.2.sum.pdf). Now, who do they categorize as "violent Islam"? Sunnis of course.
Below is an excerpt from the RAND report: DEFINING THE PROBLEM

Defining the Problem
Dear All,
With permission granted to me by Dato Rejal Arbee (C' 58), I am posting herewith the original letter by Dato Rejal Arbee and what appeared in the Sun.
Sallam,

My letter to the Sun
________________
I find Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam’s description of Barrack Obama’s election as the 44th President of the United States as being remarkable for an African-American (the Sun Fri Nov 9th) and that it could be a lesson for Malaysia as intriguing.
Dear All,
The writer of the following comment is my first cousin whose late father, Abdul Aziz Awang Mustapha aka "Bhai" was the kolet headboy in 1951/52. He did not joined kolet although his elder brother did. He is in his mid 30s and I can assure you that what he wrote is more or less representative of the opinions of many among his peer group (my eldest son included).
Dear fellow mcobs,
With permission granted by the author of the following article, who was my dorm mate in Ahmad House, I am delighted to share his thoughts on FSV with fellow mcobs. FSV, throughout the decades, can be interpreted and/or deliberately "misimplemented" differently in accordance to the environment then. Those in Class 2000 up to now would not be able to visualise, maybe, for example, what the author meant by: (had to be on duty to pull out the signal light on the left side of the car when it malfunctioned more than once), in sync with my dad's commands.
GOVERNANS BARU
Ke arah demokrasi lebih matang
Oleh YB Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah
Pengasas/Pengerusi Akademi Belia
Timbalan Menteri, Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi
PENDAHULUAN
Several members of the FSV Publication Sub-Committee, through the good office of YB Dato' Sri Nazri Aziz, were invited to parliament on a recent Wednesday in May. We managed to meet all of them; from both sides of the aisle; except YBM Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who was not in Parliament on that particular Wednesday.
Dear Mcobs and to all patriotic fellow Malaysians,
This article -- an excellent thought provoking read -- by Datuk Nazir Razak, the Group Chief Executive of CIMB Group first appeared in The Edge [Jan 14th issue] and was later reproduced in the Sun on Jan 16th 2008. The same article was subsequently uploaded to the Malaysian Bar's website. The author of said article have accordingly given me the permission to publish it in MCOBA Offside and other MCOBA related publications.
Dear All,
Among the educated critically thinking Malaysians; and obviously include all old boys of varied political inclinations; it is not uncommon for us to feel offended but mostly we sincerely feel that our political masters must have taken the electorate for fools.
Why is this so ?
Well, I can write a thesis on this phenomena but I would instead choose to ask readers whether they agree with my observation and if you do, why not provide an example.
