Customer Feedback - Texting the Business Owner (Report)

After my posting Texted the Business Owner, I visited the stall again last Sunday (17 February 2008). This time the workers at the stall are using forks to place the kuihs in the plastic bags. Hopefully, the process does not add anymore germ to my keria.

Customer Feedback - Texting the Business Owner

I was at the market Sunday before last and stopped by the "kuih" stall. The owner had instructed the workers to use the thin clear plastic glove to handle the kuih so that they are not contaminated. I like that attitude, because that's the proper way to handle food. (1) We can never be to sure that you are even half as hygienic as us; and (2) food would last longer.

Service in Restaurants

Earlier, I touched on table manners.

The reason I am writing here is simply because this is my town. It may not get to the people who did the things I refer in my page, but who knows, some body will benefit.

Often times, we assume that people know how to do certain work. I am sure that today, a lot of people assume that it is easy to be a clerk, no, secretary. But we will leave that for another day.

Table Manners

Somehow, it is exasperating to enjoy a meal when your dining partner lacks etiquette. Whilst we purport that Malays are cultured, it is hardly true when we see this in everyday life. Hard to believe, right but that's the truth. I have a strange feeling that some where in our youths, we suddenly lose what we were taught of when we were smaller, if it was ever taught.

The 2007 modern guy's guide to style

These are excerpts from an article by Daphne Guinness in the age.com.au November 15, 2007

Summary of Hardy Amies
"If a guy wants to look elegant, then long hair is problematic. Long hair can be attractive, very sexy, very bohemian, very decontracte (casual), as Hardy would say. But it's never smart. It ruins the neckline. Guys with long hair need to flick it back, or tie it, or whatever." Ian Garlant, 44, who replaced the late 93-year-old Sir Hardy Amies in 2002, not as dressmaker to the Queen but as chief designer, is adamant.

Monarchy an Integral part of the nation

As reported in Bernama:

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- The monarchy in Malaysia is an integral part of the country as well as a symbol of identity, continuity, unity and strength and, contrary to some opinion, is not all form and no function, the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah, said tonight.

It is a symbol of identity because it is a national institution, one that distinguishes this country from all others, and it is a symbol of continuity because the monarchy in Malaysia is an old institution and provides a sense of historical significance to the people, he said.

"It is a symbol of unity because it is a focal point for citizens of all races, religions and political persuasions to rally around. And it is a symbol of strength because it exemplifies the virtues of justice, mercy and honour," he said at a public lecture entitled "50 Years of National Development and Nationhood" at the Khazanah Nasional Development Seminar, here.

TKCOGA Inter-Alumni Bowling August 2006

It is my pleasure to announce that on 6 August 2006, a MCOB team comprised of MC'99 won the MGC-TKCOGA Inter-Alumni Bowling. The details of the win are vague to me, except that a MCOB actually scored 248pinfalls with 9 strikes in a game. How did he do that? Well done, chaps. Keep it up!

Three MCOB teams participated. I hope more MCOB teams will participate in other inter-alumni games, too.

The following is an excerpt of Zico's news conference as Japan's coach:

"It is very disappointing that all the Asian teams failed to reach the next round, but when you compare the teams with those who reached, the difference is apparent," Zico told his final news conference Monday as Japan's coach.
