Syukur, Alhamdulillah, the Cagers have retained the Piala Hamdan Tahir for the 5th consecutive times and 13th overall in the recently concluded Hari Kecemerlangan Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (HKSBP) in Jitra, Kedah.

The Cagers won their 6th consecutive PHT Northern Zone Championships in SMS Sultan Azlan Shah (SERATAS) Taiping convincingly. This year Quest-4-Glory (Q4G) decided to field a team with 8 juniors in preparation for the next year’s tournament. They did well despite the games were played with a 7 minutes non stop every quarter (a total of 28 minutes per game). So it was really a short game, not more than 5 minutes of actual playing time.

The Cagers are the 2008 MSSPk KK District runners up. They lost to SM Shing Chung Sg. Siput,65 - 47. Shing Chung has 1 upper six former and 4 last year's players. The Cagers lost to a better team in terms of experience and exposure. However, they beat SM Tsung Wah 61 - 52, and SM Tsung Wah Private about 16 pts.

Sejak kebelakangan ini, kanak-kanak genius Adi Putra mendapat perhatian semula setelah sekian lama dilupakan. Mengejutkan, Adi Putra telah berhenti sekolah setelah mendapati sistem pendidikan yang diikuti tidak menepati kehendak dan keperluan beliau, yang menyatakan beliau sudah mengetahui semua yang diajar di sekolah.

Ketika ini, Adi Putra mengikuti pendidikan tidak formal di rumah, melalui penghafalan Al-Quran, mempelajari bahasa asing dan bermacam lagi. Yang menghampakan, tiada follow-up oleh kerajaan untuk terus menggilap kebolehan Adi Putra, bahkan meminta murid itu menduduki UPSR.

Country Heights, Kajang, Dec 1, 2007 - The Thouroughbreds 7276, MCKK Class of 76 were gathered at the home of their batchmate in Country Heights, Kajang to honour one of MCKK’s greatest teacher, Mr Tan Gim Hoe whose 34 years of service in MCKK should have a place in the history of MCKK. His retirement from MCKK in 2005 is a great loss to MCKK for his dedicated service should be an example of what it takes to be a great teacher not just for MCKK but the country. He retired with only a certificate and a free lunch given by the school.

The Cagers All Star won the Piala Dato Seri Rafidah Aziz (KK Open) by beating the Defending Champion Kg. Liman Kati Youth in Liman Kati on Saturday. The Cagers All Star won 56 - 53. It was a close game throughout. The Cagers started well by scoring the first five points. Que 05 and Aliep 06 combined to score all Cagers 9 points in the first quarter. The score was tied at the end of the first quarter. The Cagers tighten-up their defense in the second quarter and led 19 - 17 at the half. In the third quarter, the Cagers began making their shots.

Nota Bene :

Lagu ini dinyanyikan ketika bendera Pekembar disentak oleh Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, lantas mengibarkannya buat pertama kali di padang Francis Light School, Pulau Pinang pada 27 07 1946.

Upacara tersebut yang berlaku pra-sidang Mesyuarat ketiga Majlis Agung Pekembar amat simbolik sebab Sultan Badlishah adalah keturunan ke-5 Sultan Abdullah Mukarram Shah yang menyerahkan P.Pinang pada 11.08.1786 kepada Captain Francis Light, yang mengilhamkan nama sekolah berkenaan.

Dinyanyi oleh pelajar dan guru MCKK sebagai “Anthem Kebangsaan” pada Federation Day (01 Feb.1948) apabila bendera Pekembar dinaikkan perlahan-lahan oleh Mr HR Carey, sang gurubesar berbangsa Inggeris itu sendiri.
