MCKK Fects

Whereas in those days you get selected to be an 'anjing', nowadays you have to fill in a form, and prove to the teachers (men'jue') that you have the qualities to become a Fect.

MCKK Prefect

I guess men"jue" a fact of life nowadays in the working life. Everyone wants to be more outstanding than others and sell themselves to their customers eg bosses, clients, voters etc. Of course all must be done in ethical manner.
If kolek has started the application scheme for prefects, it's a step in learning about the real world.

MCKK Prefects

Azlan Othman's picture

It takes a thief to catch a thief. It takes a prefect to catch a crook. So a prefect is a crook? Or crook a prefect?

Sometimes it does look that way.

But not me though. They had nobody else to make a prefect.

Additional Info of Prefects

Just to add to Mr. Kskymmar's comment on budak koleq nowaday's having to apply to become a Prefect.

It all started in 1991, when I was in Form 3. The administration decided to change the system and it caused a bit of rather unnecessary excitement (I prefer not elaborate on this since my memory is a bit fuzzy to give exact accounts). The word was that this change has upset a very proven and successful system.

There was a feeling that there's a possibility the Prefectorial Board may comprise of people who did not deserve to be there. People might get elected because of their "jue"ness and not character. Some qualified boys might not get to be on the board just because they chose not to apply.

Anyhow, everything is history and from the looks of it, they stuck to the new system.
