No, I was not at Kuala Kangsar to witness the game, but at 4pm, I called the school coach Yasmin Yahya to advice the players to pass the ball through right to the wing, "on our first ball received" and then let their fighting spirits carry them through the game. My explanation was that, I've seen the boys played against the RMC and at the last OBW, and I believe, simply with team spirit, our boys can cope any further challenges. After all, we have the materials ready.

At 7pm I received a SMS from Shukri Hussin to announce this news. Later, I spoke to the school coach again, and he thanked me profusely, asking when we are coming back to continue with this year's coaching. He was especially proud that we beat KYS who use the services of 2 Negeri Sembilan's Fijian players as their school coaches. Last year KYS beat MCKK.
Today's game, first half, KYS led MCKK 12 - 10. Second half MCKK received a Penalty Kick for 3 points and finished the game overall score at 13 - 12.
That's our koleq spirit for you guys.

they aren't that good... it's just we made lots of mistakes... their forwards are totally fragile..
MCKK Rugby
Thanks Ebo for the reply, sorry I didn't open offside for so long, only recently just to download and loads of images about my time during schooldays. You can see them at my Batch Photos: "Jublintan65". Ha, ha, you shouldn't do what we did those days. A lot of games we had though, and too playful too. Plus, we stayed until Sixth Form.
Anyway, back to rugby. How's the team preparation for Vaji's game? Sorry we cud not help you guys esp. the recent Under-15 Team which we promised to continue but most of us are in bad shape this year and worse, no transportation. Last year pinjam dari Kontraktor, dia pun lari.
My advice is maintain fitness level with early preparations. Toss the ball around among your guys and study the team synergy. The game is about "common" understanding and knowing when and where to position to receive balls or to defense. It is about the intuitiveness of the players, in what the old days we called "Rugby Sense". However, like all other game, you have to be fit to play, physically, and mentally prepared too. And able to take knocks and tumbles. Remember also, it is a game consisting of 15 players, with 2-unit packs combining, making-up the team. Duration-wise, should allow stamina to last at least 30 min extra than your hour game for stoppages, if any.
Good luck and hope to hear more from you guys, Batch 2006! Prepare early for your exams too.
Kindly mentor also the junior boys, esp. Form 1; to kick off their basic skills and ball confidence, and the Form 3 boys; to get them to know the fundamental 15s rugby. Simple explanations of game rules and the psyche of winning!
Cheers. Kirim salam kat semua from me and Shahid Majid.
